The AvioneX AI Visibility Index™
A proprietary 0–100 score that measures how visible — and how recommendable — a local business is to AI search engines like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity. Ten weighted signals, one number, zero guesswork.
Google rankings no longer tell the whole story
Buyers increasingly ask an AI assistant — not a search bar — to name the best contractor, dentist, or law firm near them. The Index measures whether AI engines can find you, trust you, and recommend you.
🔎 AI answers the question now
Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity increasingly answer "who's the best near me" directly — naming a few businesses instead of returning ten blue links.
🧠 AI reads signals, not ads
These engines weigh reviews, citations, structured data, and authoritative content to decide who to name. Weak signals mean you're left out of the answer entirely.
📉 You can rank yet be invisible
A business can sit on page one of Google and still never be mentioned by an AI assistant. The Index exposes that gap before it costs you booked jobs.
📈 It's measurable and fixable
Every pillar maps to a concrete fix — schema, review velocity, NAP cleanup, FAQ content. A low score today is a roadmap, not a verdict.
10 weighted signals, scored 0–100
Each pillar is scored independently, then weighted by how strongly it influences whether an AI engine surfaces and recommends a local business. The weights add up to 100.
Review Velocity & Sentiment
Volume, recency, rating, and response rate of reviews across Google, Yelp, and trade directories — the strongest local trust signal AI engines read.
Local SEO & Maps Presence
Google Business Profile completeness, Maps Pack ranking, category accuracy, service-area coverage, and geographic relevance.
Citation Consistency (NAP)
Whether the business Name, Address, and Phone match exactly across every directory — inconsistency makes AI engines distrust the entity.
AI Answer Readiness
Question-format content, FAQ schema, conversational structure, and llms-friendly formatting that lets AI lift a direct answer about the business.
Content Authority
Depth, freshness, and helpfulness of on-site content that demonstrates real expertise in the trade and the local market.
Entity Coverage
How clearly the business is defined as an entity across the web and knowledge graph — services, area served, founders, and relationships.
Structured Data (Schema)
Presence and correctness of LocalBusiness, FAQ, Review, and Service schema that lets engines parse the business without guessing.
Technical SEO
Crawlability, page speed, mobile usability, HTTPS, and indexation — the baseline an engine needs to read the site at all.
Brand Mentions & Digital PR
Unlinked and linked mentions across news, "best of" lists, and community sites — third-party validation AI engines trust.
Competitive Position
Share of voice relative to the strongest local rivals — being good in a vacuum isn't enough when an engine names only the top few.
From Invisible to Dominant
Every overall score maps to one of six grade bands so a business owner knows instantly where they stand.
Transparent, evidence-based, independent
Collect public signals
We gather only publicly observable data — Google Business Profile, reviews, directory citations, on-site schema, content, and third-party mentions.
Score each pillar
Every one of the 10 pillars is scored 0–100 against a consistent rubric, so two businesses are always measured the same way.
Apply the weights
Pillar scores are combined using the published weights into a single 0–100 overall score and a grade band.
Publish & refresh
Leaderboards are dated and periodically refreshed as businesses improve their signals — the Index is a living measure, not a one-time stamp.

What is the AvioneX AI Visibility Index?
The AvioneX AI Visibility Index™ is a proprietary 0–100 score, built by AvioneX Digital Co. in Kent, WA, that measures how visible and recommendable a local business is to AI-driven search engines like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity. It scores a business across 10 weighted signals, from review velocity to structured data and AI answer readiness.
How is the score calculated?
Each business is scored 0–100 on 10 weighted pillars: Review Velocity (14%), Local SEO (13%), Citation Consistency (11%), AI Answer Readiness (11%), Content Authority (10%), Entity Coverage (10%), Structured Data (9%), Technical SEO (8%), Brand Mentions (8%), and Competitive Position (6%). The weighted pillars combine into a single overall score and a letter-grade band from Invisible to Dominant.
Why does AI visibility matter for a local business?
More buyers now ask AI assistants — not just Google — to recommend a local contractor, dentist, or law firm. AI engines pull from reviews, citations, structured data, and authoritative content to decide which businesses to name. If those signals are weak, a business is invisible in AI answers even when it ranks on page one of Google.
Can I get my own business scored?
Yes. AvioneX Digital Co. provides a free AI Visibility Index audit for Puget Sound home service businesses, including your full 10-pillar breakdown and a prioritized plan to raise the score. Book a free audit or call 253-398-9609.
Do businesses pay to appear on the leaderboards?
No. Leaderboards are independent assessments based on public web signals. Featured companies do not pay for placement and are not AvioneX clients by default. Scores reflect AvioneX Digital's analysis of publicly observable data as of the publication date.
